Abstract
It was thought to be difficult to control or estimate PSI and Qi which are causes of paranormal phenomena as their essence is currently unclear. This report uses distilled water as it is a substance which can interact with PSI and Qi. It examines in what states distilled water can be used as a sensor and how we should consider reasons for this.
(1) It is difficult for both purified water which has a low ion count and ground water with a high ion count to interact with Qi (PSI) however it was found that distilled water interacted readily when placed into contact with room air and was saturated with pollutants (including ions with electric conductivity S=4.0 ~ 5.0 μ S/cm). This water was then used as sensor water.
(2) The sensor water was then made into "Qigong water" through treatment by Qigong therapists. This was compared with sensor water which had been exposed to a zero-magnetic field as a machine and it was found that the two types of water had similar electric conductivity. Therefore it was determined that water which had been exposed to a zero-magnetic field could be used as artificial Qigong water.
Next, a correlation between electric conductivity change and Qi (PSI) was examined.
(3) It is hypothesized that changes in the electric conductivity for water are caused by ion movement within it. Thus changes in electric conductivity change and pH were simultaneously measured and then compared, with results showing little to no correlation between them.
(4) The higher the temperature the greater conductivity is, thus the activation energy for sensor water was calculated to be ΔH=32Kcal/mol=1.388eV during the thermal activation process,.
Hydrogen bond energy in water molecules is 10 kcal/mol which is lower than the activation energy for PSI or Qi. It was therefore determined that Qi or PSI could change the size of water molecules.
(5) The size of the molelcular population in Qigong water was examined using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance(NMR) 1) and it was found that PSI and Qi altered this.
(6) Infrared absorbance in Qigong water was measured, with results showing that within the molecular structure of water, bond angle and length did not change. However there were changes in apparent in bond strength.
In conclusion, Qi or PSI do not change molecular structure of water. However, it is thought it creates changes in electric conductivity due to changes in molecular size and bonding structure in the structuralized water molecules surrounding the ions. It was determined by these results that there is a large possibility that sensor water could be used to measure PSI or Qi.
